There is a difference between inviting Me into your heart and giving Me your heart.  When you invite Me, I am a guest only, but when you give Me your heart I become its Master.  So many issues would be resolved if people would give Me their broken hearts and allow Me to restore and revive them.  Unfortunately, to many I am just an invited guest who is subject to live in their brokenness without the authority to intervene. I will not force change. Oh, that people would give Me their hearts – shattered and broken though they are – so that they could experience wholeness and the abundance of life I desire for them! Oh, that they would trust Me to be their portion!  Ps. 73:25-26, “Whom have I in heaven but You?  And earth has nothing I desire besides You.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Be careful not to allow sin to rule over you, but you rule over it.  Don’t react based on the sinful or hurtful decisions of others, but let your responses be based upon My Word that dwells in you.  My Word provides perspective that can bring resolution to your dilemma.  My Word enlightens that which you don’t understand and provides peace when answers seem elusive.  If you will live and walk according to My Word, you will find that sin is not the attraction it seems and that you are able to live above it.  Ps. 119:129-130, 133, “Your instruction is a wonder; this is why I follow it.  Your words are a doorway that lets in light, giving understanding to the thoughtless…Guide my footsteps by Your word; don’t let any kind of sin rule me.”

Resolve now those issues that have caused bitter memories to surface in your heart.  I wish to use you as a minister of reconciliation, and unresolved offenses only cause division.  You are an ambassador of My love to others, and anything within you that contradicts this only serves to bring confusion rather than clarity.  This is the wellspring of life that I desire to see bubbling up from within you – love.  Guard diligently your heart, being meticulous in what you allow to take up residence there.  What dwells in your heart issues forth from your life, and living water from a heart of love is preferable to the stench that emanates from a heart undone by bitter springs.  Prov. 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Again – live by faith, not by sight or feeling.  Natural sight can hinder you from accomplishing the vision and focusing on natural circumstances can prevent the fulfillment of it.  Likewise, feelings can keep you from cultivating vision by shifting your concentration from what you know to be the truth of My Word to what you sense in the flesh.  Remember, flesh is temporary, spirit is eternal. Depression is especially dangerous.  Depression is the enemy’s tool to distort vision and suppress hope by keeping you feeling pressed on every side, despondent and dejected, so that you do not invest yourself in the eternal.  If I gave it to you, will I not also accomplish it in you?  Is there not yet a work for you?  Do not give into these tactics, but press forward, despite what you see and feel, for I am indeed much greater in you, than the worm that dwells in this world. Live in faith!  Acts 16:22, “…strengthening the disciples, encouraging them to remain true to the faith, and reminding them that it is through many hardships that we must enter the Kingdom of God.”

Am I not the One who led My people out of Egypt with a mighty hand and outstretched arm?  Am I a God so fickle that I change with the passage of time?  If I did it in the past, I will do it now for you!  I am able and desirous to lead you out of your bondage, but you must first admit it for what it is, and place your hand in Mine.  Make no mistake, the chains that bind you were not placed there by Me – what a misguided notion that I would ever enslave to make free!  You must embrace truth, and allow My intervention.  I am willing to part your sea, but you must be willing to walk through it. Believe Me when I say there is a promised land for you on the other side.  Ex. 14:21-22, “Moses reached his hand out over the sea, and ADONAI caused the sea to go back before a strong east wind all night.  He made the sea become dry land, and its water was divided in two.  Then the people of Isra’el went into the sea on the dry ground, with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left side.”

The time of preparation is over; now is the time to birth.  The time of labor and travail is upon you and you must not abort the harvest at the last minute by ceasing your travail.  As you push to bring forth what has been sown, there will be times of anguish and sweat, but sweet will be the breakthrough that brings forth the promise.  You did not sow in vain, and My Word is true.  You will reap if you refuse to faint.  Many births will come quickly and easily, but some births will be prolonged, with many seeming complications.  Do not concern yourself, for to those I am sending spiritual midwives to assist in the birthing process.  What you have carried will come forth, and great will be your joy.  John 16:21, “When a woman is giving birth, she is in pain; because her time has come.  But when the baby is born, she forgets her suffering out of joy that a child has come into the world.”

Where does your love take you?  My love for people took Me to the cross.  Love is nothing less than self-sacrifice.  If there is no sacrifice involved, it is not love, but self-gratification.  Learn to give of yourself to others.  At times they will be grateful and lasting relationships will form, and at times they will walk away never looking back.  Both were results of My investment into others.  If your desire is to impact the world, love those with whom you come in contact, giving without judgment, serving with joy, and being moved with compassion.  I John 4:17, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:  because as He is, so are we in this world.”

7/6/2017 Daily Word

Take time to build authentic relationships that are based on identity rather than performance – one that admits all are broken and distorted images of Myself.  You must start by accepting yourself as a flawed being.  This means that as you submit to My Spirit and are being remade to more perfectly reflect My image, you don’t measure others by their willingness to conform to your image or an idea of what you think My image should look like.  Walk in grace and mercy with all, not judging, lest I measure you by what you have meted out to others.  As you do, you will have the opportunity to share Me with people who previously would have been discounted and otherwise lost.  After all, that’s what I came for – to seek and save the lost, restoring them to right relationship with Myself and others.  Mark 12:30-31, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this:  Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.”

7/5/2017 Daily Word

I long for My children to walk in the power of the Spirit, not only so that they may live the life of an overcomer, but because it backs up the truth of My Word.  Walk and worship in Spirit and in Truth and the Spirit’s power will be demonstrated in your life.  As you allow the totality of My Word to take up residence in your life, My Spirit will take precedence over the flesh.  Remember, My Word is the soil in which the life of the spirit germinates and thrives.  Without it, fruit does not flourish, and outside of it, the Spirit does nothing. A life lived according to the Word is a life that walks in authority and power.  I Cor. 2:4-5, “Neither the delivery nor the content of my message relies on compelling words of ‘wisdom’ but on a demonstration of the power of the Spirit, so that your trust might not rest on human wisdom but on God’s power.”

7/4/2017 Daily Word

The places in your life which are unproductive can be made to bear fruit if you will but place them under My care.  You must relinquish the right to tend this infertile garden that you have watched over and yet done nothing with.  You must allow Me to come into this garden of “what-ifs” and unrealized possibilities to sow with tough love that which will bring about the productivity for which you long and are capable.  I will remove the stubborn roots and weeds, but in the end, if you will allow Me to have My way, you will blossom into a work of art that flourishes and feeds those around you.  Don’t settle for a barren life when I can make you both fertile and lush, causing to thrive that which you assumed was dead.  Luke 15:24a, “For this son of mine was dead, but now he’s alive again!  He was lost, but now he has been found!”
