If I so loved the world that I gave, how then ought you to love?  Giving of yourself is the ultimate expression of love, even when your gift is not received.  It is a sign of mature love.  I gave My Son, My Son gave the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit gives you all things that pertain to life and godliness. As you have freely received of My love, freely give My love. For love doesn’t place people under the bondage of a debt to be repaid, but love is for giving. Be moved with such compassion, that you are willing to pour yourself out on behalf of the object of your love, and let that object be the same as Mine, so that it can be said of you, too, that you so loved the world, that you gave. As I am, so you, too, should be.  I John 4:11-17, “Beloved friends, if this is how God loved us, we likewise ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains united with us, and our love for Him has been brought to its goal in us.  Here is how we know that we remain united with Him and He with us; He has given to us from His own Spirit.  Moreover, we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent His Son as Deliverer of the world.  If someone acknowledges that Jesus us the Son of God, God remains united with Him and he with God.  Also, we have come to know and trust the love that God has for us.  God is love; and those who remain in this love remain united with God, and God remains united with them.  Here is how love has been brought to maturity in us:  as Christ is, so are we in the world.”
